Romford’s historic Market Place and the surrounding streets of the Old Town contain a fine collection of period brickwork, much of it within the Romford conservation area. We’ve been repointing properties like these for over 35 years.
The Romford conservation area covers the Market Place, High Street, North Street and South Street — the historic commercial heart of the town, which has grown around its market since at least the 13th century. The surrounding streets contain a mix of Victorian and Edwardian brickwork, much of it dating from the town’s rapid expansion as a market and brewing centre.
We work to the correct lime mortar specification across Romford and the wider Havering area, repairing and repointing the period brickwork that makes up the town’s historic core as well as the Victorian terraces in the surrounding residential streets.

“Chris is a craftsman and master pointer. He made a really beautiful job of repointing the whole side of our building. I can’t recommend him highly enough.”
