1. Who we are

London Brickwork Repointing is a specialist brickwork and repointing contractor based in London. We are the “data controller” for any personal information you give us. Our website is londonbrickworkrepointing.com.

2. What information we collect

When you get in touch by phone, WhatsApp, email or the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect what you give us: usually your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property and details of the work you need. If you send photos of your property, we keep those with your enquiry.

If we carry out work for you, we also keep the quote, invoice and payment records for that job.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, visit the property, give you a quote and carry out the work. Our legal basis is that this is needed to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to carry out that contract.

We keep invoices and payment records because the law requires us to for tax purposes.

We do not send marketing emails, and we never sell your information.

4. Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to in order to do the job or meet our legal obligations, for example with our accountant or HMRC, or with a scaffolding supplier when scaffolding is needed for your property. Messages you send by WhatsApp, email or our enquiry form pass through those services (WhatsApp is run by Meta; the enquiry form is handled by Formspree, which emails your message to us and may store it outside the UK; email is handled by our email provider).

5. How long we keep it

If you become a customer, we keep job records (quotes, invoices and payments) for six years, which covers what HMRC requires. If your enquiry doesn’t go ahead, we delete your details within 12 months.

6. Cookies and Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how people use the website, such as which pages are visited and how people found us. Google Analytics only sets its cookies if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. If you click “Decline”, no analytics cookies are set.

Google Analytics processes information such as your approximate location, device and browser, and an online identifier. Google may process this data outside the UK. We don’t use advertising cookies. To change your choice, clear this site’s data in your browser and the banner will appear again.

7. Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time. To do any of this, contact us using the details below. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
