From the grand Victorian and Edwardian houses of Coombe to the terraces of Surbiton and the historic core of Kingston Old Town, the Royal Borough has a wealth of period brickwork. We’ve been repointing properties like these for over 35 years.
The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames has 26 conservation areas, more than almost any other London borough. The Coombe area — covering the Coombe Wood, Coombe Hill and Coombe House conservation areas — is known for its large Victorian and Edwardian houses set in a semi-rural landscape, many designed by notable architects of the period.
Closer to the river, Kingston Old Town retains a largely medieval street layout with Georgian and Victorian buildings on Church Street and the Market Place, while Surbiton’s conservation areas preserve its Victorian villas and town centre. We work to the correct lime mortar specification across all of these areas, including recent work on a period property in Coombe.

“Chris is a craftsman and master pointer. He made a really beautiful job of repointing the whole side of our building. I can’t recommend him highly enough.”
